Job summary

JBS USA in Souderton, PA, seeks a Safety Manager to lead the plant’s safety program across beef processing operations. You will drive OSHA compliance, perform hazard assessments, and coordinate training, incident investigations, and corrective actions with Operations and Maintenance teams.

The role requires strong safety leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to work on a production floor in a fast-paced environment. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive safety experience in manufacturing or food processing.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety principles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, EH&S, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.
• Experience with workers’ compensation and return-to-work programs.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and safety reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the plant’s safety program and act as the primary safety resource.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
• Investigate injuries and incidents; identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain safety programs, training, and communications.
• Coordinate with maintenance and operations on machine guarding and energy controls.
• Promote safety leadership and accountability across all shifts.
