Job summary

Merchants Metals is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the plant maintenance function and shift the organization toward planned, preventive, and reliability-focused practices. You will assess equipment condition, establish PMs, and drive continuous improvement with strong collaboration across Operations.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated maintenance leadership in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Experience developing or improving preventive maintenance and reliability programs.
• Experience with equipment criticality assessments and spare-parts management.
• Working knowledge of CMMS/work-order systems and maintenance planning practices.
• Proven ability to reduce downtime and address recurring failures through structured problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Assess equipment condition and maintenance needs; develop plan to shift to proactive maintenance.
• Lead maintenance strategy, reliability plans, and critical spare-parts management.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance procedures and schedules with Operations.
• Track downtime, perform root-cause analysis, and drive corrective actions.
• Lead or support procurement and vendor coordination for maintenance.
