Job summary

Merchants Metals is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee predictive and preventive maintenance and to lead the reliability team at our Houston facility. You will collaborate with the maintenance planner and tool crib to establish standards, schedules, safe procedures and systems ensuring safety and business goals are met.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in manufacturing maintenance, strong CMMS skills, and the ability to drive improvements in equipment performance, uptime and preventive

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment.
• Proven ability to develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
• Bilingual English & Spanish is desirable.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in CMMS software.
• Strong mechanical abilities with troubleshooting drives, motors and controls.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision and guidance to front-line maintenance associates and technicians.
• Develops, implements, and sustains preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Leads planning and reliability teams and coordinates with operations.
• Collaborates with EHS, Quality, Plant Engineer and other teams regularly.
• Reads and assigns work orders; analyzes CMMS data and downtime trends.
