Job summary

Pratt Industries, the leading paper and packaging company, seeks a Production Manager in Dallas to lead plant operations, drive safety, quality and continuous improvement. This role spends significant time on the production floor and mentors staff to develop future leaders.

You will analyze processes, reduce downtime and waste, and manage costs while meeting customers' expectations and maintaining high standards. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in business, engineering or related field preferred or equivalent experience
• 3–5 years related experience in manufacturing
• Extrusion, plastic bag converting, paper converting experience is a plus
• Proven ability to lead with minimal supervision
• Strong communication across all levels of the organization
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, willingness to learn new systems

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety of plant and procedures
• Plan, organize, direct and run day-to-day operations to exceed customer expectations
• Increase production capacity while reducing waste and cost
• Be responsible for production output, quality and on-time shipping
• Allocate resources effectively and utilize assets to optimize results
• Develop and mentor plant staff and future leaders
