Job summary

Northern Gulf Services, a renewable fuel logistics and distribution company based in Houston, TX, is seeking a hands-on Plant Operator to execute daily plant operations and field support under the Operations Manager.

The role requires 1–3 years of related experience, a strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to follow SOPs while maintaining safety and quality. The position offers full-time hours, weekend flexibility, and opportunities for growth within the company.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in plant operations, warehouse, or waste/materials collection.
• TWIC Card preferred; CDL Class B license preferred.
• Strong mechanical/maintenance aptitude for processing plants.
• Must lift up to 50 lbs and work in an industrial environment.
• Ability to follow SOPs and safety protocols with attention to detail.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate plant processing and packaging per SOPs.
• Maintain accurate inventory reporting for used cooking oil and supplies.
• Keep plant floor, warehouse, and yard clean, safe, and orderly.
• Deliver and swap bins at customer locations; support field operations.
• Maintain bin inventory through cleaning and minor repairs.
• Monitor fleet readiness and report safety concerns; assist in basic vehicle repairs.
