Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs has an immediate opening for a Shift Manager Plant Operations in Hibbing, MN. You will direct and coordinate safe production, supervising operators and technicians to ensure safety and efficiency on a shift-by-shift basis.

You will lead the operations crew, enforce safety rules, coordinate with mine dispatch, and drive continuous improvement while complying with company policies and the collective bargaining agreement.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years’ experience in mining/mineral processing facility or heavy industry.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to motivate and delegate.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate safe production on shift.
• Supervise operators and technicians to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Lead operations crew to execute plant operations plans on a shift-by-shift basis.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and the union contract.
• Coordinate with Mine dispatch to manage ore delivery and minimize disruptions.
• Identify and implement improvements to production standards.
• Monitor plant performance and address deviations within parameters.
• Facilitate departmental training and employee development.
