Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. is seeking a Shift Manager Maintenance at the Northshore Mining facility in Silver Bay, MN. The role directs maintenance programs, leads technicians, and coordinates safety-oriented, predictable work with contractors to meet production targets.

The candidate will drive safe operations, publish schedules, and ensure availability of parts and tools, while coaching team members for continuous improvement in a heavy industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in mining or heavy industry.
• Bachelor's or Vocational degree in a related field.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting.
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks with contractors and teams.

Responsibilities

• Direct and monitor maintenance programs for the Pellet Plant.
• Lead maintenance technicians and contractors to meet planned schedules and reliability goals.
• Conduct weekly safety and information meetings; promote a safe working environment.
• Publish and manage daily/weekly work schedules to hit production targets.
• Communicate assignments, timing, and tasks clearly to crew and outside contractors.
