Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. in Toledo, OH is seeking a Shift Manager Operations to ensure safe operation of the facility and to optimize production on a shift-by-shift basis.

The role requires planning, coordinating with plant operators and control room staff, and leading safety-focused initiatives. Candidates should have an associate degree and 3–5 years in a heavy industrial setting, plus CMMS and strong leadership skills.

Qualifications

• 2–3 sentences describing required leadership experience and the ability to coach a team.
• Experience in a heavy industrial environment (steel/hydrocarbon/mining) is preferred.
• CMMS experience and understanding of plant diagrams are required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and plan shift work for operators and control room staff.
• Conduct shift toolbox huddles and communicate plan and parameters.
• Monitor quality, track work hours, and ensure accurate payroll data.
• Coordinate with other supervisors to minimize variation and implement best practices.
• Ensure safe work practices and adherence to policies and procedures.
• Support process improvements and efficiency initiatives.
