Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. is seeking a Shift Manager Operations at the United Taconite LLC Forbes, MN Processing Plant to lead safe production and supervise operators and technicians.

You will coordinate daily activities, drive safety, and implement continuous improvement on a shift-by-shift basis. Responsibilities include scheduling, training, policy compliance, and collaboration with maintenance and environmental teams, with relocation considerations for highly qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-year technical degree or equivalent required.
• 3-5 years in mining/mineral processing or heavy industry preferred.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to motivate teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, facilitate, and motivate employees to safely and efficiently execute and complete their work assignments.
• Train in safe work practices and maintain a strong safety focus.
• Schedule, supervise, and optimize daily and weekly carry-over work.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and MSHA regulations.
• Drive continuous improvement and handle disciplinary actions when necessary.
• Lead operations crews to meet performance expectations and handle inter-crew standardization.
