Job summary

Novolex is seeking a Plant Operations Leader to oversee the day-to-day operation of the manufacturing plant and lead direct reports, including Production Supervisors and other production staff. The role reports to the Plant Manager and collaborates with maintenance, quality, and supply chains to meet production targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of production/operations management experience in manufacturing or related production processes.
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
• Knowledge of production processes, raw materials, quality control, costs, and optimization techniques.
• Excellent judgment, decision-making and ability to meet company goals in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to set clear expectations and directions to manufacturing staff.
• Results-driven, analytical, and detail-oriented with problem-solving skills.
• Proven track record of accountability and successful execution at the management level.

Responsibilities

• Drive production targets while maintaining cost controls and compliance.
• Plan labor resources to achieve manufacturing targets.
• Drive continuous improvement of processes and train staff on new methods.
• Collaborate with HR on talent strategies, performance, and succession planning.
• Lead production supervisors and oversee QA Hold to prevent non-conformances.
• Ensure on-time product shipping and coordinate with scheduling, safety, sales, and customer service.
• Maintain effective communications with internal and external stakeholders.
• Foster a safe and healthy work environment by enforcing safety standards.
