Job summary

Novolex in Illinois is seeking a Senior Plant Manager to lead day-to-day operations at our manufacturing plant. You will oversee multiple departments to produce goods efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively, reporting to the Segment Operations Leader and driving performance.

The role requires at least 5 years of plant leadership in manufacturing, a degree in engineering or business, and a proven track record in lean, continuous improvement, and workforce development.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of plant management experience in manufacturing and operations.
• College Degree in engineering and/or business management preferred.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
• Understanding of production processes, materials, quality control, costs and distribution.
• Proven judgment, decision-making ability and accountability at plant level.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation, leadership and management of a manufacturing plant.
• Report to the Segment Operations Leader and monitor plant performance.
• Lead continuous improvement projects and A3 reporting.
• Safety and safety compliance leadership.
• Manage plant engineering, maintenance, inventory and capital planning.
• Oversee budget, spending and headcount; direct supervisors and staff across site.
