Job summary

Reworld is seeking an Operations Manager to lead the Thermomechanical Treatment Facility, ensuring safe, cost-effective operation and direct supervision of an Operations Supervisor and shift staff.

You will drive environmental, health, and safety leadership, optimize boiler and turbine performance, and translate strategic goals into actionable operational plans with defined KPIs. Emphasis on Lean and Six Sigma methods, staff development, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering preferred (Mechanical or Chemical).
• 10+ years of plant operations supervisory/managerial experience accepted in lieu of degree or equivalent military experience.
• Experience in power plant operations or high‑pressure boiler environments.
• Prior experience in a People Leader role.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and the ability to work with a diverse population of employees and contractors.
• ASME, QRO/CFO certification desirable, or ability to qualify within six months of employment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of the organization.
• Experience in building (re-building) process/systems focused structures.
• Maintenance experience with outages, rotating and electrical generation equipment preferred.
• Thorough safety management skills in high hazard operations.

• Communicate Operations objectives, priorities, and progress.
• Develop resource plans and manage employee relations/engagement.
• Drive continuous improvement and Lean/Six Sigma to boost productivity.
• Lead learning, development and performance efforts to grow capabilities.
• Provide coaching to develop personnel and leadership capacity.
• Foster cultural change, discipline, and accountability across operations.
• Audit procedures to ensure compliance and safe housekeeping.
