Job summary

NRG Energy in the United States seeks an experienced Plant Operations and Maintenance leader to oversee all aspects of plant performance, safety, and P&L. You will manage a competent, well-trained staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and execute the Gas Plant Strategy in a dynamic market.

This role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field and a track record of supervising teams, implementing technical standards, and fostering safe, cost-conscious operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline with 10 years of equivalent experience, or 14 years in a related field.
• Demonstrated record of successfully leading/supervising employees in a related field.
• Knowledge of Human Resources, Labor and Employee Relations.
• Keeps knowledge of competitive business practices and new technology updated.

Responsibilities

• Supports and emphasizes safety and environmental programs and ensures regulatory compliance.
• Promotes productivity and teamwork with open communication, timely decision making, and strong leadership to achieve performance.
• Develops technical leadership and business skills of employees to carry out responsibilities in a competitive environment.
• Manages external service providers and ensures alignment with organizational objectives.
