Job summary

NRG Energy seeks a senior plant leader to coordinate technical resources at the Cedar Bayou Plant for safe, reliable, and economical operation. You will develop and administer technical processes, work and project planning, standards, and staff development to support station needs.

You will lead capital and O&M projects, manage outages, budgets, and compliance while mentoring Process Specialists and cross-functional teams to optimize performance and ensure owner objectives are met.

Qualifications

• Supports safety programs and incident investigations with EKPI goals.
• Leads plant leadership team and acts as temporary plant manager when needed.
• Develops and communicates the station's technical plan and budget.
• Manages Change process for compliance and reliability.
• Directs Process Specialists to support station projects and responsibilities.
• Oversees capital and O&M project planning, budgeting and execution.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership focused on safety and environmental programs.
• Serve on the plant leadership team and step into senior roles as needed.
• Develop, implement, and update the station's technical plan and budgets.
• Oversee Change management to ensure compliance and reliability.
• Ensure station procedures are followed and fully implemented.
• Guide technical staff to support projects and responsibilities at the station.
• Oversee project scopes, plans, schedules, and budgets, including post-outage work.
• Foster safety culture, productivity, and teamwork.
