Job summary

NRG Energy in Luckey, Ohio is seeking a Senior Plant Operations Leader to manage all aspects of plant operation and maintenance with P&L responsibility. You will lead a competent staff, ensure safety, regulatory compliance and environmental programs, and drive continuous improvement while aligning with NRG's strategic goals.

This role requires strong leadership, vendor management, and the ability to interface with regulators and community partners to maintain high performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum 10 years of related experience; or 14 years in similar position.
• Experience leading/supervising employees in a technical field and knowledge of HR/labor relations.

• Supports and emphasizes importance of safety and environmental programs and ensures regulatory compliance
• Promotes productivity and teamwork with open communication and leadership to achieve high performance
• Develops technical leadership and business skills of employees for competitive environment
• Manages external service providers and interface with NRG management
• Ensures timely feedback to employees for improvement and development
• Formulates strategies that support NRG objectives and manages area goals and initiatives
• Oversees operational performance, staff development and cost management
• Reviews organizational performance and identifies opportunities for improvement
