Job summary

Top Echelon Software LLC seeks a Plant Manager in Storm Lake, IA to oversee shop floor operations, drive cost-efficient production, and optimize quality to meet shipping schedules. You will lead manufacturing, planning, scheduling, maintenance, and cost-control efforts to maximize EBIT.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 10+ years in manufacturing, including 4+ years in supervision, plus strong leadership, analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management or Industrial Management.
• 10+ years’ experience in manufacturing, including at least 4 years in a higher-level supervisory capacity.
• Broad knowledge of manufacturing methods, production planning, employee/labor relations, and standard cost and financial controls.
• Demonstrable skills in assessing, utilizing and developing personnel.
• Ability to effectively communicate, motivate, and lead at all levels.
• Superior analytical and critical thinking abilities, ability to balance multiple events and priorities.
• Must be PC literate and able to create and utilize various spreadsheet programs.

Responsibilities

• Directs manufacture and assembly of products at optimum costs with quality standards.
• Meet scheduled delivery dates with minimal WIP and efficient use of resources.
• Develops cost, scrap, rework and extra work reduction programs to improve EBIT.
• Controls quality, production costs, inventory, and shipping/receiving through subordinates.
• Develops plant policies aligned with corporate directions and applies them to operations.
• Coordinates manufacturing schedules based on sales requirements and plant capacity.
• Ensures availability of raw materials and supplies for optimum efficiency.
• Reviews recommendations for machinery, equipment and buildings, including capital purchases.
• Oversees maintenance, security and protection of plant assets.
• Supports policies on personnel performance, hiring and promotions.
