Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management or Industrial Management.
• 10+ years of manufacturing experience, including at least 4 years in a higher-level supervisory capacity.
• Broad knowledge of manufacturing methods, production planning, employee/labor relations, and standard cost and financial controls.
• Strong leadership, communication and analytical abilities to balance multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Directs manufacture and assembly of products at optimal costs while meeting quality and performance standards.
• Manages delivery schedules and minimises work-in-progress inventory while ensuring efficient use of people, machinery and materials.
• Develops cost reduction, scrap, rework and extra work reduction programs to improve EBIT.
• Controls quality, production costs, inventory, shipping and receiving through subordinates.
• Sets plant policies aligned with corporate directions and supervises implementation in manufacturing operations.
• Coordinates execution of manufacturing schedules based on sales requirements and plant capacity.
• Ensures availability of raw materials and supplies for optimum manufacturing efficiency.
• Reviews and approves machinery, equipment and capital expenditure recommendations.
• Oversees maintenance, security and safety of plant facilities.
