Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management or Industrial Management.
• 10+ years’ manufacturing experience; at least 4 years in a higher-level supervisory capacity.
• Broad knowledge of manufacturing methods, production planning, employee/labor relations, and standard cost and financial controls.
• Demonstrable skills in assessing, utilizing and developing personnel.
• Ability to effectively communicate, motivate, and lead at all levels.
• Must be PC literate and able to create and utilize various spreadsheet programs.

Responsibilities

• Directs the manufacture and assembly of products at optimum costs with quality and performance standards.
• Manages to meet scheduled delivery dates with minimal work-in-process inventory and efficient use of resources.
• Develops cost, scrap, rework and extra work reduction programs to improve EBIT.
• Controls quality, cost of production, inventory, shipping and receiving.
• Determines and enforces plant policies and supervises manufacturing operations.
• Coordinates the execution of schedules based on sales requirements and plant capacity.
• Ensures availability of raw materials and supplies for optimum manufacturing efficiency.
• Communicates methods and production standards across the organization.
• Reviews and approves capital equipment purchases.
