Job summary

Great Dane is seeking a Production Supervisor to direct trailer production activities across lines, ensure schedules are met, and deliver products per engineering drawings. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and lean manufacturing practices while coordinating with ME and Maintenance teams.

Qualifications include high school or GED, Team Leader experience or Academy/degree, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Travel is none; the environment is safety-focused and collaborative.

Qualifications

• Education: High School or GED required.
• Experience: Team Leader experience.
• Graduate of Team Leader Academy or college degree.
• Utilizes Microsoft Office Products.
• Scope of Responsibilities (ex.number of direct reports, level of difficulty of position, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety rules and requirements are followed by all employees.
• Direct and manage activities to meet production, quality, and safety goals.
• Plan weekly staffing based on production volume and coordinate line start after shifts.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate employees; handle promotions, discipline, and grievances.
• Lead safety topics, communicate insights from safety meetings to the team.
• Review Sales Order vs BOM in weekly reviews to resolve discrepancies before start.
• Coordinate with other Supervisors and the Superintendent to meet schedules.
• Collaborate with Engineering to resolve build issues affecting quality or safety.
• Inform Production Manager and ME/Maintenance Manager about tooling, quality, and safety concerns while maintaining schedule.
• Manage timecards, punches, vacation requests, and approvals.
• Other duties as assigned.
