Job summary

Michael Foods, Inc. Wakefield plant seeks a Plant Superintendent to lead production KPI achievement, safety and quality adherence, and personnel development. The role emphasizes continuous improvement and policy enforcement across the facility.

The incumbent will supervise salaried staff, manage resources, and drive maintenance coordination to minimize downtime while upholding regulatory and company standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
• 5-7 years’ experience in processing and supervision.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervises and coordinates salaried supervisor roles including goal setting and performance evaluation.
• Schedules and supervises manufacturing resources to meet production goals.
• Ensures production activities comply with policies, quality standards and safety regulations.
• Maintains a safe work environment and improves it as needed.
• Schedules staff and assigns duties to meet production needs.
• Develops and administers material and labor usage controls.
• Implements employee relations programs to improve engagement and morale.
• Participates in the maintenance program, including PM scheduling and data evaluation.
• Responds to interruptions in the production process.
• Maintains inventories of production supplies.
• Applies human resources concepts and procedures.
• Complies with federal, state and local food processing laws.
