Michael Foods, Inc. Wakefield facility is seeking a Plant Superintendent to lead production KPIs, safety, and personnel matters. You will supervise salaried supervisors, plan resources, and enforce policy across the operation.

Responsibilities include safety, quality compliance, maintenance coordination, and staffing. The role requires strong leadership, collaboration with all levels, and a focus on continuous improvement in a busy food processing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
• 5-7 years' experience in processing and supervision.
• Experience with continuous manufacturing processes is preferred.
• Experience building and maintaining employee relations processes.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervises and coordinates salaried supervisor roles, including goal setting and performance evaluation.
• Schedule and supervise resources to meet production goals.
• Ensure compliance with policies, safety and quality standards.
• Maintain a safe work environment and improve overall safety.
• Schedule staff and assign duties to meet production needs.
• Develop and administer material and labor usage controls.
• Implement employee relations programs to boost engagement.
• Support maintenance programs and review predictive maintenance data.
• Respond to interruptions in production and manage recovery.
• Maintain inventories of production supplies.
• Apply federal, state and local food processing regulations.
• Collaborate across levels to drive continuous improvement.
