Job summary

Wyman Gordon, located in Worcester, MA, seeks a Plant Manager responsible for all aspects of plant performance, safety, cost control, and capital planning. This role reports to the V.P./GM and will drive continuous improvement and Union collaboration to meet corporate goals.

Ideal candidate has MBA + engineering background, 10+ years manufacturing experience, and 5+ years in a managerial role with P/L responsibility, leading multiple manufacturing disciplines.

Qualifications

• MBA, with B.S./B.A. (engineering discipline preferred) and/or extensive related work experience.
• Minimum of 10 years manufacturing experience, preferably with capital intense metal forming/manufacturing operations.
• At least 5 years at managerial responsibility with P/L responsibility
• Demonstrated experience leading multiple manufacturing disciplines (Operations, Maintenance, Quality, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Enforces all safety policies and procedures with team members. Drive a safety conscience culture.
• Coordinate and manage a full complement of production and production support activities.
• Manage and work with key staff positions: Materials Management, Quality, Metallurgy, etc.
• Full P&L, balance sheet responsibility for Worcester Operations.
• Drive cost reduction and continuous improvement in the attainment of corporate goals.
• Responsible for cost control and budget attainment.
• Establish working effective relationship with Union leadership.
• Establish and execute capital planning efforts supporting manufacturing
