Job summary

Wyman-Gordon in Worcester, MA seeks a Plant Manager responsible for all plant performance, aligning safety, quality, and cost objectives with corporate goals.

Reporting to the VP/GM, this role oversees production and support activities, staff across materials, quality and metallurgy, and capital planning efforts to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• MBA, with B.S./B.A. (engineering discipline preferred) and/or extensive related work experience.
• Minimum of 10 years manufacturing experience, preferably with capital intense metal forming/manufacturing operations.
• At least 5 years at managerial responsibility with P/L responsibility.
• Demonstrated experience leading multiple manufacturing disciplines (Operations, Maintenance, Quality, etc.)

• Coordinate and manage a full complement of production and production support activities.
• Manage and work with key staff positions: Materials Management, Quality, Metallurgy, etc.
• Full P&L, balance sheet responsibility for Worcester Operations.
• Drive cost reduction and continuous improvement in the attainment of corporate goals.
• Responsible for cost control and budget attainment.
• Meet required customer shipping schedules.
• Establish working effective relationship with Union leadership.
• Establish and execute capital planning efforts supporting manufacturing

Wyman-Gordon, located in Worcester, MA, provides Isothermal Forgings for military and commercial turbine applications using nickel based and titanium alloys. Full Heat Treating, Machining and Testing on site. This growing, $200 million profit center is part of a highly successful, multi-billion diversified manufacturer. Precision Castparts Corporation (PCC).

Plant Manager

Reporting to the V.P./GM, the Plant Manager will be accountable for all aspects of plant performance and will ensure that objectives are attained in a cost-effective and measurable manner that’s consistent with safety & quality requirements.
