Job summary

Acloché LLC in Storm Lake, IA is seeking a Plant Manager to oversee all shop floor operations, drive production efficiency, cost control and quality. You will lead manufacturing engineering, scheduling, maintenance and labor relations to achieve EBIT targets.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in engineering or related field and 10+ years in manufacturing with at least 4 years in a supervisory role, plus strong leadership, communication and analytical abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management or Industrial Management.
• 10+ years in manufacturing including 4+ years in a supervisory role.
• Broad knowledge of manufacturing methods, production planning, labor relations and cost controls.
• Ability to assess, develop and motivate personnel.
• Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with spreadsheet programs.

Responsibilities

• Directs manufacture and assembly at optimal cost with quality and performance standards.
• Meets delivery dates with minimal WIP, optimizing use of people, machines and materials.
• Implements cost improvement programs to improve EBIT.
• Controls production costs, inventory, and shipping/receiving through subordinates.
• Determines plant policies aligning with corporate directives and supervises their application.
• Coordinates schedules based on sales requirements and plant capacity.
• Ensures availability of raw materials for optimum efficiency.
• Discusses methods and standards with shop floor staff.
• Reviews and approves capital equipment purchases.
• Oversees maintenance, security and protection of the plant.
• Participates in personnel policies and labor relations, including union matters where applicable.
• Reviews personnel performance, promotions, terminations, and rate changes.
• Communicates company directives to the shop floor and staff.
• Ensures safety and environmental compliance for all plant operations.
