Job summary

Aspire Talent Solutions is seeking a Plant Manager in Storm Lake, Iowa to lead all shop floor operations and drive production efficiency. You will be accountable for meeting production schedules, controlling costs, and ensuring quality across the plant.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or industrial management and 10+ years in manufacturing with at least 4 years in a senior supervisory role. Strong leadership and cost control expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or industrial management.
• 10+ years in manufacturing with 4+ years in a senior supervisory role.
• Broad knowledge of manufacturing methods, planning, labor relations, and cost controls.
• Proven ability to assess, develop and utilize personnel.

Responsibilities

• Directs manufacture and assembly at optimum costs with quality and performance standards.
• Meets delivery schedules with minimal WIP and efficient use of resources.
• Implements cost, scrap and rework reduction programs to improve EBIT.
• Controls production cost, inventory, shipping and receiving through subordinates.
• Sets plant policies aligned with corporate directives and applies them to operations.
• Coordinates manufacturing schedules with sales requirements and plant capacity.
• Ensures availability of raw materials and supplies for efficient production.
• Communicates methods and standards to shop floor staff.
• Reviews and approves capital equipment purchases and plant improvements.
• Oversees maintenance, security and safety of plant facilities and equipment.
• Involves HR processes including hiring, promotions and terminations; supports non-union or union policies.
• Ensures compliance with safety and environmental laws.

Education
