Job summary

Movement Search & Delivery seeks an experienced Site Leader to oversee all areas of Operations at a manufacturing facility in Saginaw, MI. The role reports to the U.S. COO and spans Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, Facilities, EH&S, and MRO.

You will lead plant operations, implement Lean initiatives, ensure on-time production and shipping, and develop leaders across functions while maintaining strong safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; engineering or business emphasis preferred.
• 7+ years manufacturing management experience.
• 5+ years in precision machining / metal removal.
• Strong CNC machining knowledge.
• Proven Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience.
• P&L management and cost control experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead plant operations and drive KPIs.
• Translate strategy into annual operating plans.
• Develop and mentor departmental leaders.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Site Leader to oversee all areas of Operations at a manufacturing facility in Saginaw, Michigan. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving operational performance, developing people, improving processes, and ensuring the facility delivers on customer commitments.

The Site Leader will report directly to the U.S. COO and will have responsibility across Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, Facilities, EH&S and MRO.

What You'll Be Responsible For

• Lead overall plant operations and drive performance against key operational KPIs
• Execute manufacturing strategy and ensure production and shipping commitments are met
• Analyze production data and identify opportunities for productivity, quality and cost improvements
• Lead and develop departmental leaders and plant personnel
• Establish a strong culture of safety, quality, accountability and continuous improvement
• Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives including 5S, SMED, Kaizen and cellular manufacturing
• Partner closely with Engineering, Quality, Finance, Sales, Materials and Customer Service
• Develop and execute annual operating plans and long-range operational strategies
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory and customer requirements
• Build and maintain strong relationships with the union workforce and union leadership
• Communicate plant performance, opportunities and action plans to senior leadership
• Maintain a strong sense of urgency and customer focus throughout the organization

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; Engineering or advanced business degree preferred
• 7+ years of manufacturing management experience
• 5+ years of precision machining / metal-removing manufacturing experience
• Strong knowledge of CNC machining
• Proven success implementing Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
• Experience with P&L management and operational financial performance
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead significant operational improvements and sustain results
• Experience working across multiple functional areas in a matrix organization
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to create alignment and drive accountability
• Motion control industry experience is a plus
