Job summary

A world-class, multi-billion-dollar industrial manufacturing organization seeks to hire a Senior Manager - Plant Operations at their flagship production facility West Michigan. Reporting to the General Manager for the site, this permanent, direct-hire opportunity will provide hands-on operational leadership while developing systems and processes to support longer-term strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical field; advanced degrees are a plus.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in industrial manufacturing environments.
• 4+ years of formal leadership responsibility.
• Lean/CI proficiency with proven ability to drive improvements.
• US Citizens or US Green Card holders required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership across day-to-day manufacturing operations with accountability for safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity outcomes.
• Lead and develop multi-disciplinary manufacturing teams, fostering ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Manage end-to-end production flow, aligning schedules, capacity, inventory and customer commitments.
• Drive quarter-over-quarter improvements through lean, process optimization and Kaizen initiatives.
• Partner cross-functionally with Planning, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Finance to improve throughput, margin, and customer satisfaction.
• Participate in operational budgeting, capital planning, and execution of approved improvement and automation projects.
• Monitor key metrics (scrap, efficiency, delivery, inventory, margin) and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements while promoting a strong EHS culture.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership across day-to-day manufacturing operations with accountability for safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity outcomes.
