We are currently seeking a full-time, experienced Manufacturing Plant Manager for our busy 24/7 manufacturing facility.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and maintain a World-Class Safety program and Safety Performance.
- Manage a team of department managers and other staff.
- Perform hands-on management on the plant floor (approximately 70% of the time).
- Develop budgets for all Capital and Special Projects to ensure favorable ROI.
- Oversee all capital projects, ensuring quality, timely completion, and budget adherence.
- Coordinate with R&D and Operations on new product launches, trials, and projects.
- Establish operational standards to ensure safety, cost-effectiveness, and project reliability before handoff to operations.
- Manage major expansion and special projects as directed by senior leadership.
- Act as international liaison for operations, facilities, and maintenance with global partners.
- Collaborate on new product development and operational improvements.
- Set and monitor goals for continuous improvement in operations and equipment reliability.
- Manage operational and facilities budgets to meet productivity targets.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
- Work with Engineering to implement safe, cost-effective projects.
- Recognize and reward outstanding personnel performance.
- Maintain documentation for drawings, specifications, compliance, and inspections.
- Support ISO system requirements.
- Conduct regular performance reviews for direct reports.
- Be available as needed on a 24/7 basis.
- Report directly to the President/COO.
Required Skills and Attributes:
- Excellent organizational, planning, and communication skills.
- Technical background with mid to advanced expertise.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel, with ability to create and present attractive presentations.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and grammatical skills.
- Ability to develop operational policies and ISODOCS.
- Leadership qualities to hold others accountable and motivate teams.
- Goal-oriented team player.
Experience and Education:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
- 8-10 years of leadership experience in multi-site manufacturing operations.
- Experience in international business is a plus.
- Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certification is required.
- LEAN methodology experience, with proven success.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident due to ITAR requirements.
- Capability to manage other plants in the future as the company grows.
