Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years minimum experience with pellet mills/feed mill equipment.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Welding proficiency MIG and Stick required.

Responsibilities

• Performs all phases of maintenance, including electrical and mechanical systems (fabricating, welding troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and preventive maintenance).
• Understands the mill flow and mill schematics.
• Maintains all equipment in good working condition.
• Follows preventative maintenance schedule.
• Troubleshoots and repairs mill equipment.
• Maintains clean, neat, and orderly work area at all times.
• Assists with fabrication and construction projects.
• Performs machine repair and installation tasks (motors, gear boxes, piping, belts, bearings, welding).
• Conducts daily greasing and oiling of plant equipment as needed.
• Diagnoses and replaces equipment parts with minimal direction.
• Communicates effectively with operators and management.
• Adheres to safety rules and participates in safety meetings; may serve on Safety Committee.
