Job summary

Mennel Milling Company is seeking a maintenance technician to support the facility in maintaining and improving the reliability of plant equipment, machinery, and processing systems in a fast-paced milling environment.

The role involves following safety protocols, coordinating with shifts, managing parts inventory (Maximo/CMMS), and coordinating vendor services. The candidate should have a high school diploma, welding skills (MIG/TIG), and strong teamwork abilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Familiarity with machine shop equipment and ability to design, develop, document and fabricate machine parts.
• Ability to weld including resistance, MIG and TIG welding.
• Ability to prioritize and organize tasks and follow through to ensure completion of assignments.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety rules and maintain audit-ready condition.
• Extensive knowledge with CMMS regarding workflow (Planning and Scheduling) and purchase requisition requirements.
• Communicate tasks and priorities between shifts and departments.
• Identify and plan for jobs requiring non-stock parts.
• Maintain suppliers to ensure needed parts and materials are purchased.
• Obtain quotes, select suppliers, and purchase parts/materials as needed.
• Ensure parts/materials are expedited to meet production needs.
• Maintain and monitor parts inventory including cycle counts and Maximo min/max levels.
• Provide direction to Mechanics on assigned shift and prioritize work.
• Coordinate on-site vendor services and trainings as required.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical or electrical issues to maintain plant reliability.
