Job summary

Darling Ingredients Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Worker to perform preventive and corrective maintenance in our plant under supervision. The role involves installing new equipment, assisting on special projects, and executing repairs on motors, gear boxes, and piping systems.

The candidate should have 1–2 years of hands-on maintenance experience, forklift operation, welding (MIG/Stick), and basic electrical repair skills. Safety and teamwork are essential in our high‑demand rendering facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1–2 years of relevant work experience (forklift operation, welding and piping).
• Basic maintenance knowledge and safety compliance are expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installation of new equipment.
• Support maintenance supervisor and crews on projects.
• Perform machine repair and installation (motors, gear boxes, piping, pumps).
• Grease and oil plant equipment daily.
• Diagnose and replace parts with minimal direction.
• Diagnose/control circuits and VFD installations.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and follow safety rules.
• Attend safety meetings and participate on Safety Committee.
• Other duties as assigned.
