Job summary

The Mennel Milling Company is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to sustain equipment reliability and support our food safety programs. The role involves maintaining and improving plant machinery, ensuring quality, uniformity, and service, with a 12-hour rotating shift.

Qualifications

• High aptitude for troubleshooting and problem-solving.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Interpersonal skills; teamwork with minimal supervision.

• Multi-skilled; able to perform basic mechanical tasks.
• Knowledge of PCs and facility software for troubleshooting and work orders.
• Ability to operate equipment like scissor lifts, hoists, cranes, etc.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety and training requirements (GMP, OSHA, HACCP, FSMA) and maintain audit-ready condition.
• Follow plant rules and ensure safety of self and others.
• Maintain plant equipment reliability and capacity; troubleshoot and repair mechanical or electrical issues.
• Work as part of maintenance team to diagnose and resolve equipment problems.
• Repair machinery per manuals and manufacturer specs; replace defective parts.
• Operate CAD-based documentation of repairs and modifications.
• Prioritize and organize tasks; maintain clean work area and documentation.
