Job summary

Lhoist North America is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to perform inspections, repairs, and rebuilds on plant equipment. You will help drive Plant OEE by preventing unplanned downtime while following SQF, safety, and environmental guidelines.

Required are 2+ years of mechanical experience, welding proficiency, ability to read blueprints, and a High School diploma or GED. The role includes extensive hands-on work, shift flexibility, and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• 2+ years mechanical experience including welding, equipment alignments and troubleshooting.
• Reading blueprints and mechanical drawings is required.
• High School Diploma or GED; apprenticeship/technical program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance inspections, repairs and rebuilds on plant equipment to achieve OEE goals.
• Comply with health, safety and SQF regulations and complete inspections promptly.
• Install/align bearings, piping systems, belts, conveyors; use precision tools.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic/pneumatic systems, air compressors, lighting and controls.
• Operate forklifts and maintenance machinery; keep tools and area clean and safe.
• Read work orders, manuals, blueprints; document findings and complete checklists.
