Job summary

Lhoist North America is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for our Texas plant. You will perform inspections, repairs, rebuilds, and PMs on plant equipment, troubleshoot drives, PLCs, hydraulics, and pneumatics, and use CMMS to close work orders.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems used in industrial equipment.
• Industrial background with solid troubleshooting skills.
• Working knowledge of mechanical equipment in an industrial plant.
• Ability to read and understand one-line diagrams and schematics.
• Experience operating heavy equipment is desirable.
• Must have a telephone and be open to callouts.
• Must be able to work extended shifts to complete repairs and keep critical equipment running.
• Effective communication with supervisors, managers and peers.
• Ability to operate a computer.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, repairs, and rebuilds on plant operating equipment.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and troubleshoot drives, PLCs, control circuits.
• Disassemble and rebuild crushing, screening, and conveying equipment.
• Maintain bearings installation and shaft alignments; use tools for alignment.
• Comply with CMMS processes; ensure work orders and checklists are complete.
