Job summary

SRM Concrete is seeking a Plant Maintenance Technician to keep our concrete plant running smoothly and safely. This role covers mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and welding tasks with on-site responses to avoid downtime.

You’ll inspect equipment, perform preventive maintenance, document work, and collaborate with plant leadership to prioritize fixes. A safety-first mindset and willingness to work nights or weekends help ensure continuous operation.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance experience in plant, industrial, or manufacturing settings.
• Electrical, plumbing and welding skills; certifications are a plus but not required.
• Ability to diagnose and repair tough issues quickly under pressure.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Commitment to safety and knowledge of plant safety rules and regulations.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training is a bonus.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate plant machinery.
• Willing to complete SRM's pre-employment screenings.
• Willingness to work emergency repairs including nights or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Keep the plant running by performing a wide range of maintenance tasks.
• Inspect equipment regularly to spot issues before they cause downtime.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to keep production moving.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
• Weld to fabricate, repair, or reinforce plant equipment and structures.
• Prioritize fixes with plant leaders to maximize uptime.
• Maintain clear records of work, parts used, and time taken.
• Stay updated on safety protocols and best practices.
• Collaborate with outside experts when specialized skills are needed.
• Help keep the plant safe by correcting hazards when observed.
• Be ready to jump in wherever needed to get the job done.
