Job summary

SRM Concrete is seeking a Plant Maintenance Technician to keep our concrete plant running smoothly across shifts. You will troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems, fabricate or reinforce equipment with welding, and coordinate prioritization with plant leaders to minimize downtime.

Ideal candidates have hands-on maintenance experience in plant environments, safety-conscious habits, and a willingness to work nights or weekends.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance experience in plant, industrial, or manufacturing maintenance.
• Experience in a concrete plant is a big plus.
• Strong safety mindset and knowledge of plant safety rules.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or vocational degree is a bonus.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate plant machinery.
• Willing to complete pre-employment screenings.
• Ready for emergency repairs including nights or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Keep our plant running strong by handling a wide range of maintenance tasks—no two days are ever the same.
• Inspect equipment and systems regularly to spot issues before they become problems.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance to help avoid breakdowns and keep production moving.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues as they come up, using your skills and resourcefulness to get us back on track fast.
• Put your welding know-how to work fabricating, repairing, or reinforcing plant equipment and structures.
• Work closely with plant leaders to prioritize what needs fixing first, always with an eye on what keeps the plant running best.
• Keep clear records of your work—what you fixed, what parts you used, and how long it took—so we always know our plant’s maintenance history.
• Stay sharp by learning new techniques and keeping up with the latest safety protocols.
• Team up with outside experts when a job calls for specialized skills.
• Help keep the plant safe by spotting hazards and taking action to correct them.
• Jump in wherever you’re needed—because at SRM, everyone pitches in to get the job done.
