Job summary

SRM Concrete is seeking a Plant Maintenance Technician to keep our concrete plants running smoothly. You will handle a wide range of maintenance tasks, inspect equipment, and perform planned maintenance to prevent breakdowns, with opportunities to weld, fabricate, and reinforce plant equipment.

You’ll work with plant leaders to prioritize repairs, maintain records, and stay current on safety protocols. This role includes emergency repairs and occasional night or weekend shifts, with ample chance

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in plant, industrial, or manufacturing maintenance; concrete plant experience a plus.
• Certifications are nice, but a can-do attitude matters most.
• Quick-thinking problem solver able to tackle tough repairs under pressure.
• Strong communicator who works well solo and in a team environment.
• Committed to safety and familiar with plant safety rules and regulations.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate plant machinery.
• Willing to complete SRM’s pre-employment screenings.
• Ready to step up for emergency repairs—even if it means nights or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Keep our plant running by handling a wide range of maintenance tasks—no two days are the same.
• Inspect equipment and systems regularly to spot issues before they become problems.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance to avoid breakdowns and keep production moving.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues to get us back on track fast.
• Put welding know-how to work fabricating, repairing, or reinforcing equipment and structures.
• Prioritize fixes with plant leaders to keep the plant running best.
• Keep detailed records of work, parts used, and time taken for maintenance history.
• Stay up-to-date with new techniques and safety protocols.
• Team up with outside experts when specialized skills are needed.
• Help keep the plant safe by spotting hazards and taking corrective action.
