Job summary

Veolia in North America is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to preserve the facility's condition and readiness. You will diagnose, schedule, and repair plant equipment; develop preventive maintenance procedures; and perform other maintenance tasks to keep operations smooth.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, knowledge of industrial electrical systems, pumps, forklift repairs, plumbing, and the ability to read manuals. A physical, drug test, and DEA background check are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Class A CDL preferred; candidates without a CDL must be willing to obtain
• Strong knowledge of maintenance and ability to read manuals.
• Good communication skills and safety mindset.

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic assessments, schedule and perform repairs and maintenance on plant equipment.
• Develop preventative maintenance procedures, document completed work orders and perform other assignments.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on rolling stock.
• Carpentry, plumbing, and electrical skills for minor repairs.
• Read manuals to assist in repairs.
• Maintain a clean and pristine work area at all times.
