Job summary
Veolia is seeking a maintenance technician to perform preventive and corrective work on pumps, engines and related equipment in our North America operations. You will learn mechanical troubleshooting, dismantle and reassemble components, and test performance to restore safe operation.
The role requires basic math, ability to read blueprints, and experience with power, pneumatic and hydraulic tools. You may also help with light facility maintenance and driving company vehicles as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1–2 years related maintenance experience.
- Experience using power, pneumatic, hydraulic, and hand tools.
- Ability to read specifications, blueprints and manuals.
Responsibilities
- Performs routine and preventive maintenance on pumps, engines, and related equipment.
- Learns mechanical troubleshooting, disassembles and tests equipment, and restores performance.
- Maintains facilities by replacing lights, fixtures, doors, and painting as needed.
- Operates company vehicles and supports safety and environmental policies.
- Assists in estimating time and material costs for projects.
