Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking a maintenance technician to perform routine and preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical and instrumentation areas at a North American site.

Responsibilities include facility upkeep, basic cost estimation, and safe operation of plant equipment in a cross-functional team environment. The role emphasizes safety, compliance, and on-call duties where required.

Qualifications

• High school or GED with ability to read, write and comprehend English and follow instructions.
• Six months to two years of related maintenance experience with ability to read specs and manuals.
• Experience using power, pneumatic and hydraulic tools and shop equipment is preferred.
• Experience with meters, gauges and precision instruments as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and preventative maintenance and reports operational problems.
• Learns to troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electronic equipment.
• Performs facility maintenance, including replacement of bulbs, glass, doors and floors as needed.
• Operates company vehicles for plant operations and assists in project cost estimation.
• May assist in other plant areas and participate in safety programs.
