Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor at our Plywood facility in Prosperity, SC. The Maintenance Supervisor leads a team of Millwrights to inspect critical equipment, prioritize work, and ensure PM compliance while developing standard maintenance procedures.

The role collaborates with the Maintenance Manager on on-call rotations and area management, driving safety, reliability, and continuous improvement across the mill.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years or more experience with preventative and predictive maintenance.
• Experience with parts inventory management and controls.
• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management System or SAP.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and approves work requests to determine if an emergency response is necessary or directs future work planning.
• Ensures resources for planned work and controls job execution and quality through completion.
• Ensures all work orders have valid approvals and documentation.
• Maintains safe work practices and housekeeping; leads safety awareness meetings.
• Coordinates maintenance on-call rotations with the Maintenance Manager.
• Ensures orderly conduct of maintenance team in line with policy and procedures.
• Runs Area Management Team meetings with the Maintenance Manager.
• Participates in work order prioritization with Planner and Area Superintendent.
• Defines equipment monitoring rounds to verify completion and identify hazards.
• Works with Area Planners on value-added work packages for down days and shutdowns.
• Fills in for Maintenance Manager when absent.
