Job summary

Georgia-Pacific LLC is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for our Rome, Georgia lumber mill. You will lead a skilled maintenance team to improve safety, reliability, and operational performance in a hands‑on leadership role.

The Rome mill partners with Operations, Reliability, Engineering and Safety to prevent incidents and sustain production. You will develop staff, coordinate preventive maintenance, and drive continuous improvement within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Five or more years in industrial maintenance, including millwright or supervision, in heavy industry or manufacturing
• Experience with CMMS and documenting maintenance work
• Ability to read mechanical, structural, and electrical drawings
• Experience leading teams, coaching, or coordinating maintenance activities
• Work environment may be hot, cold, noisy, dusty, indoors or outdoors

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the maintenance team with a strong safety focus
• Set clear priorities, provide feedback and performance coaching
• Build team capability through training and knowledge sharing
• Coordinate preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to improve reliability
• Collaborate with Operations to troubleshoot, plan outages, and implement improvements
• Use data and root cause analysis to reduce downtime and costs
• Promote an inclusive, respectful work environment where ownership is encouraged
