Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for our Rome, Georgia lumber mill. You will lead a skilled maintenance team to improve safety, reliability, and production performance while working across departments to deliver sustainable improvements.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, clear expectations, and building team capability to reduce downtime and drive continuous improvement in a high‑volume manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Five or more years in industrial maintenance, including millwright or maintenance supervision.
• Experience using MS Word/Excel and documenting work in a CMMS.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical, structural, and electrical drawings.
• Experience leading work, coaching employees, or coordinating maintenance activities.
• Must work in environments that can be hot, cold, noisy, dusty, indoors or outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the maintenance team with safety focus.
• Set clear priorities and provide timely feedback and coaching.
• Build team capability through training and effective assignments.
• Coordinate preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to improve reliability.
• Collaborate with Operations to troubleshoot issues and plan outages.
• Use data to identify root causes and reduce downtime and costs.
• Promote an inclusive, respectful work environment.
