Job summary

Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to coordinate and supervise Maintenance Technicians on the plant floor, aligning daily work with production schedules and safety standards. You will manage downtime, track work orders, and ensure timely maintenance responses to keep the line running smoothly.

This role emphasizes preventive maintenance planning, inventory coordination with Purchasing, and continuous improvement across facilities.

Qualifications

• PC proficiency and excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to develop a strong maintenance team in a high-performing environment.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge in automatic controls is desired.
• Planning, scheduling and budgeting experience.
• Engineering degree or equivalent experience preferred; military/work experience considered.
• 3+ years in a manufacturing environment with Utilities/Facilities/Production equipment maintenance knowledge.
• Adaptable to varied task requirements and changing priorities.
• Ability to lead and develop a team and foster ownership.
• Coaching to develop employees’ knowledge and skills; provide timely feedback.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates the activities of Maintenance Technicians daily based on production schedules.
• Reviews work orders and preventive maintenance needs; consider priority, schedules and parts availability; assign technicians accordingly.
• Assigns Maintenance Technicians in response to production requests; prioritize critical areas.
• Reviews downtime reports and discuss improvements with Technicians.
• Develops and distributes preventive maintenance schedules; regularly re-evaluate for efficiency.
• Ensures work orders are completed in a timely manner.
• Develops work schedules to optimize maintenance resources.
• Represent The Froneri Way in daily operations and team interactions.
