Job summary

Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream is seeking a Facilities Technician to ensure safe, reliable building maintenance and support utilities needs. You will contribute to preventative and corrective maintenance, assist with inspections, and work with a Facilities Engineer to develop expertise in plant systems.

The role requires at least 2 years in building maintenance/HVAC, CFC certification, and the ability to work varied shifts.

Qualifications

18 years of age or older.
Aptitude for automated mechanical processes with good troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Excellent interpersonal communication, math and problem solving skills.
Ability to work multiple shifts and/or schedules.
HVAC Service Technician – CFC Universal CFC Certified or equivalent required.
Good written and communication skills. Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, MS Access, MP-2.

Responsibilities

Perform housekeeping of equipment, areas and mechanical rooms; drywall repairs and painting.
Provide electrical troubleshooting and resets for circuit breakers.
Repair doors and adjust hardware including closers, hinges and locks.
Inspect and service dock doors and levelers; generate work requests as needed.
Hang wall-mounted devices in bathrooms and offices as requested.
Train with a Facilities Engineer/Contracted Service to learn Building Maintenance tasks.
Participate in procedure reviews, updates and PMs for facilities systems.
Represent The Froneri Way in daily work and uphold core values.
