Job summary

Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream, Inc in Laurel, MD is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of Maintenance Technicians, coordinate daily maintenance, and optimize uptime across the site.

You will plan, schedule, and supervise preventive maintenance, analyze downtime, and drive continuous improvements while ensuring safety and compliance with procedures. Requires engineering degree or equivalent, 3+ years in manufacturing, strong communication, and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Three (3) or more years’ experience in a manufacturing environment and knowledge of Utilities/Facilities/Production equipment maintenance.
• PC proficiency and excellent organizational and communication skills are a must.
• Knowledge in automatic controls is desired.
• Planning and scheduling and budgeting.
• Military and work experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates the activities of Maintenance Technicians daily based upon production schedules.
• Reviews work orders and preventative maintenance needs, considering priority, production schedules and parts availability.
• Assigns Maintenance Technicians in response to requests from production and prioritizes downtime prevention.
• Reviews downtime reports and discusses improvements with Technicians.
• Develops and distributes preventative maintenance schedules for equipment and reassesses PM schedules for efficiency.
• Ensures Work Order assignments are completed in a timely manner.
