Job summary

Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream Inc. is seeking a Preventive Maintenance Technician to provide reliable service of factory equipment and help meet production targets in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

You will handle inspections, lubrication, minor repairs, and calibrations; troubleshoot equipment failures; and work overtime as needed, while adhering to safety standards. Join a team that values hands-on skills and continuous improvement as we expand operations.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of food manufacturing maintenance or related maintenance experience preferred.
• HS Diploma/GED required; Associate degree or technical certification preferred.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Aptitude for automated mechanical processes with good troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent interpersonal communication, math and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work multiple shifts and/or schedules.
• Must be able to work overtime including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and respond to work orders.
• Perform inspections, lubrication, changes, and minor repairs; inspect moving parts and calibrate equipment.
• Disassemble machinery and equipment for maintenance or repair, and test to ensure proper operation.
• Represent safety standards and PPE usage, follow job hazard analysis and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Maintain a flexible schedule to meet production targets and support continuous improvement initiatives.
