Job summary

Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream is seeking a Preventative Maintenance Mechanic to keep factory equipment running at peak performance and safety. You’ll handle preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot machinery, and support continuous production in a fast-paced food-manufacturing environment.

The role requires 3–5 years of related experience, strong mechanical skills, and the ability to work rotating shifts including weekends. Comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certification preferred.
• 3-5 years of food manufacturing maintenance experience preferred.
• Aptitude for automated mechanical processes with troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent interpersonal communication, math and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work multiple shifts including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Preventative, corrective, and condition based maintenance tasks on manufacturing equipment.
• Create and improve PM task lists and frequencies.
• Respond to work orders and provide service and feedback to customers while ensuring codes and standards.
• Recommend improvements to maintenance methods and equipment performance.
• Follow safety guidelines, perform lockout/tagout, and wear PPE as required.
• Operate tools and diagnostic equipment; maintain flexible day-to-day schedules.
• Disassemble and reassemble machinery for maintenance or repair.
• Test, adjust, and calibrate equipment to optimal specifications.
