Job summary

Smithfield Packaged Meats Corp seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance team and drive world‑class maintenance practices across the plant. You will implement preventive and predictive programs, leverage SAP PM, and focus on reducing downtime while controlling costs.

Ideal candidate brings a Bachelor’s degree, 3+ years of leadership in maintenance, and strong problem solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four‑year college or university and 3+ years’ relevant experience.
• Experience leading training, coaching or mentoring to staff and managing a process or project.
• Advanced technical skills in mechanical/electrical fields (PLCs, instrumentation) and capacity for resource planning in a large plant.
• Thorough knowledge of world‑class maintenance management systems and TPM, preventive/predictive maintenance.
• Strong critical thinking, problem solving, communication, organizational and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance systems to drive peak performance and minimize costs.
• Direct maintenance staff and ensure safety policies are followed.
• Design and manage Preventive and Predictive Maintenance programs using SAP PM.
• Track KPIs for equipment reliability, OEE and maintenance efficiency.
• Collaborate with Plant Engineer to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
