Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a powerhouse team responsible for building and equipment maintenance, driving strategies to minimize downtime and keep production lines running at full capacity.

You will develop and implement advanced maintenance systems like Preventive and Predictive Maintenance, TPM, and SAP PM, elevating maintenance processes and plant reliability. Strong leadership and technical expertise required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
• 3+ years’ relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance Systems Management: drive peak performance using systems like Root Cause Analysis, Reliability‑Centered Maintenance, and TPM to maximize plant capacity.
• Maintenance Staff and Safety: lead maintenance team with delegation, planning, and safety policy enforcement.
• Solutions & Troubleshooting: provide quick, effective solutions to equipment failures and day-to-day challenges.
• Preventive & Predictive Maintenance: design and manage SAP PM based maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability.
• KPIs: track and report maintenance performance, OE, supplier performance, and more to guide continuous improvement.
• Flexibility and Leadership: step up when key personnel are absent to ensure tasks are completed.
• People Management: develop and coach the team.
